UNION strikes back with another cool party called Intel Outside. Its the 5th release. The organizers are - Docent, Thom, Amst, The Generat. Coz of low quality of latest Polish parties we realized to create one and only, best of the best of the best meeting. Similar to the parties we organized three and four years ago. We want to remove as many mistakes as it is possible and add some new rulez which help us and You ( in our opinion ). Mr. Root and Jet boy run The Manga Room around the clock. Additionaly they open a small store with accesories, video casettes and so and. At the entrance there are two Amigas 1200 and everybody should input his(her) handle and group. If someone doesn't fill the blanks will not be able to start in any competition. People who will not come to party place can't do that as well. We collect all the products from all the beginning. Amiga 4000T with scsi, ide and 1.76 floppy linked with PC makes it possible. We want to eliminate all the problems associated with bad sectors, damaged disks and cd-roms. Next news is... There are no multichannel and 4ch compos. Only music compo. We accept mp3, aiff, cdda, wave and all kinds of modules supported by Exotic Player, Hippo player. Designers will be asked for their permission to add their products to the music cd which will be realased after the party. There are two conditions about music which can be played during competition. You must create it by Yourself and it must be written in stereo mode. All the mono tracks and fakes will be kicked out. Next.... There is no ray compo. Only graphics compo. All Photoshop productions and rays will be thrown away. In return to that we added ray anim compo to the VHS compo. So if You are a raytracer You can render an animation. We support Mpeg Video, ANIM5-8, ANIM32 or vhs casette. All pictures and animations with inscriptions will be kicked out. You can only compose Your nick or insert Your nick and group into the file's comment. We accept pictures as JPEGs and the most popular datatypes. Our favourite resolution is 800x600 so please think about it. There won't be any 4KB and 64KB intro compo. Only 40KB intro competition. We have changed that rule that is why 4KB intros are too low quality and 64KB intros too high ( in a big nutshell ). Next... VHS DEMO COMPO. Only real video demos and ray animations will be presented. The films like "a man in water closed crashes PC" will be kicked out. The one exception will be available .... " a rendered man in rendered water closed crashes rendered PC". Next... Ther won't be any fun compos. They have been too lame lately so we won't waste our and Your time. Next... Demos: One limitation is their lenght. Up to 10MB. Same rulez for Amiga and PC. Hardware and its configuration. Amiga - A4000T+604e/233Mhz+060/50Mhz+Cyber Vision 3D(PPC)+64Mb RAM,Toccata PC - Pentium 2/233Mhz+chipset 3DFX+Sound Blaster 16bit+Gravis Max+64Mb RAM Every production which doesn't work on them will be kicked out. In case of Amiga we accept AGA as well. In case of PC You can use DOS, Direct X. Every demonstration must depack to one directory or should have an installer ( of course to one directory ). All selections will be proceeded by organizers. Additional help we get from Polish TV. Next... If You are drunk : 1) messing with other people - You will be kicked out the Party 2) sleeping anywhere - have a nice dreams 3) puking off - You will be kicked out All competitions will be recorded to vhs. It will eliminate all system crashes during playing. All products will be launched to the net in few hours after the party. Two cd-roms will get Celic^AND and Plukwa's Admin. If You want to get all the stuff from IO5 please contact me at generat@union.org.pl befere the party. For foreign swappers we will prepare some cd-roms ( but contact me too ). If there are some MAC users. We will prepare a Mac demo compo for them. But You should have Your machine with You. There is a special deadline for collecting votes. Only correctly filled votes which we get before deadline will be accepted. We'll choose 5 guys from You to check up the votes and count all points. Noone will be able to take us as liars and fakers. Between compos and during free time we will present to You some nice demonstrations from Lightvawe, Real and Soft Image. In the midnight will take place a techno concert. If You need much free place for Your group and computers please contact me and make a reservation. The prize for entering the party is about 18DM for each person. ( 30zl - Polish ) If You have Your computer ( not PC ) with You about 15 DM. ( 25zl - Polish ) If You are a woman You don't pay anything. Deadline for music compo is one week before the party. Only email makes it possible. We don't have enough time during party to make a professional selection. All the products will be spread by firm "AMIGO".
